Welcome to FPC! We’re a community of grace where our good, true and beautiful God is worshipped and where questions about following Jesus are welcome, regardless of where you are in the faith. We’re a pretty friendly group of folks. You’ll be welcomed with a smile, handshake and most likely, a cup of coffee! We hope that you’ll join us for worship!

Where is FPC located?

Set that GPS to: 547 Seventh Ave., Fairbanks, AK 99701

We are located downtown in between 7th and 8th avenues across from Sadler’s Furniture store and across from the Chevron Station.  We are easy to find, and if you want help finding us – give us a call at (907) 452-2406.

Where do I park? Where do I go for different church activities?

We have a parking lot on our property. There is also street parking and parking in the Wells Fargo lot across from our church.  During normal office hours (Monday-Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM), one of our staff members will be available at the church office window to direct you where you need to go. On Sunday mornings, we have greeters at the doors and in the narthex to greet you and answer any questions you might have.

What time do services start?

Worship Service begins at 10am on Sunday mornings.

Do you offer childcare on Sunday mornings?

Children’s Sunday school classes are being offered, PK-3rd and 4th-6th.   Nursery is available for children 3 and under.

What about Sunday School?

Both Children and Adult Sunday School hour begins at 9am.  Visitors are welcome.

What is the dress code?

This is Fairbanks! Come as you are!

What are your worship services like?

FPC worship services last just over an hour, and include music, prayer, testimonies, offering, a sermon, and often an invitation to receive personal prayer for healing, etc. for those who would like it. If you visit FPC for worship, you can remain fairly anonymous as you “check things out.” You will not be asked to stand or be singled out in any way if you are a visitor.

Do I have to give an offering?

No, not unless God has so impressed you. We believe that the church is supported by the tithes and offerings of its members. As a visitor, you are not expected to participate in giving.

Do you have activities for the whole family?

YES. Throughout the year, there are various activities that will be posted on our calendar – picnics, game nights and similar activities. If you want to check out what is available for each age group, see the links under the “Connect” tab at the top of the page.

Do you have a separate service for children?

At the present time, we are encouraging children to worship in the services with their parents, but we do offer a children’s sermon every Sunday and offer separate programmed activities for kids during the sermon on the first Sunday of each month.

Are there opportunities for me to serve?

A priority of our church is our mission out into the world.  We have plenty of opportunities for service that make a difference!  Volunteer to be a teacher for our children’s ministry. Be a part of the team which gives food boxes away for 30 to 60 families every week. Serve at “The Well” dinners on Wednesday nights September to May. Come sing with our choir or in the worship band. The list goes on. Check out the “serve” section to explore more service opportunities.

How do I join FPC?

If you are visiting with us, please fill out a visitor card and the pastor will contact you.  To become a member, we offer New Member courses throughout the year. Ask a pastor and keep your eyes open for new classes in the bulletin. We look forward to meeting you!
