Who Are We?

Spicy Mustard is the youth ministry of First Presbyterian Church. We welcome all students from 7th-12th grade. Together we serve our community, study God’s Word, worship and grow as a group, and we play and hang out together.

What do We Do?

We meet every Sunday from 1-4pm year round for lunch, time together, worship, Bible study, games, challenges, and service projects.

In the summer we meet every Wednesday from 1-4pm for serving with the Food Bank, and hanging out – in other words, working hard and playing hard.

In addition to our weekly gatherings, we also have many activities, trips, and special events throughout the year!

A Word on Youth Ministry

I have been serving in Youth Ministry since I was a high school student myself. I was a nerdy kid who didn’t feel like I particularly belonged anywhere, but a series of wonderful mentors and fantastic church groups spoke the Love of God into my heart and made sure I felt welcome and wanted.

Since then I have served in camping ministry, campus ministry, and congregational youth ministry for over fifteen years. My goal is to make sure that every young student that our ministry encounters has an inclusive and welcoming experience, hears the Word of God speaking Christ’s love for them, and is equipped and encouraged to bear that love of God as a life-long follower of Jesus Christ.
