How do we rejoice in the Lord, when life give s us much to worry and be anxious about? We place our hope, and our identity in nothing save Jesus and who he is, the very righteousness of God. And we can then live grateful satisfying lives to the glory of God.
Abiding in Christ and 'doing righteousness' are equated with each other in this portion of John's first epistle. We'll examine what this means for us, and the motivation John gives us, to stand confidently before Jesus when he appears.
